4-23-12 - Forging on with album recording! So far we've done out first two tracks with Dylant Fant at 1Shot Studios in Woodinville, but today we got another opportunity to record for the same project somewhere else! In browsing Craigslist for potential keyboard players/auxiliary musicians to join the band (cough-if you know anyone send them our way-cough), we came upon an ad posted by a student at the Art Institute of Seattle, needing a band to record for his final project. After some e-mail correspondence we agreed upon two sessions to record one song, the first session being this evening. We're really excited about this because the Art Institute has an AMAZING studio full of equally amazing gear! Our plan is to take the raw tracks recorded there and bring them to Dylan for mixing. This will give the song the same huge, awesome, blast you in the face sound that Dylan does so well, and we got to do the tracking for free! And being a musician regrettably means also being dirt poor, so we were pretty stoked about it to say the least. The next session is in the morning on Saturday May 12th, which is also coincidentally the same day as our acoustic show at El Corazon!

This acoustic show will be unique to others The Requisite has played. One key element being that Chris won't be able to be there, so there will be no bass...but also...Max won't be there either....
In his place, is a super amazing surprise celebrity guest vocalist! You will hate yourself forever if you miss the pure awesomeness that is going to take place at this show (which is all ages by the way!!!!)

So in summary:
Sweet new song to be released hopefully within the next month (possibly even with a music video as well, how neat-O!) and a crazy awesome super special celebrity surprise guest vocalist at our May 12th show at el corazon!

Final note: Our big show on June 15th is fast approaching, and we're still trying to get our tickets sold! Let any of the band members know how many you need and we'll make sure to get them to you!

The Requisite

4-18-12 - So before practice today, the band went down to the cozy inn tavern for a quick pint before playing (not an unusual occurrence). When we arrived, we were dismayed to find that in the back of the bar, a grotesque, horrendous, abomination of celebration was unfolding before our very eyes. It was about 6pm mind you, and apparently a patrons' 75th birthday. Birthdays are all fine and well, until you introduce strippers in their late 40's/early 50's. What was seen cannot be unseen. It required the whole band to restrain Jack, and to keep him from pouring bleach into his eyes. Well not really, but it was pretty gross.

We have had to cancel our April 28th show at KTUB, but we will schedule another one soon! We've updated our shows section and will do so again when the next few dates are confirmed (some big shows are looming and we are downright GIDDY). Max is in the process of acquiring a band van, which in turn guessed it...PLANNING A TOUR. More info on that to come! Lastly, make sure to check out our youtube channel:, as we have started uploading what we imagine "vlogs" to be. So make sure to subscribe and give us a thumbs up so we feel vindicated in posting videos of Chris farting or Max singing homo-erotic songs about Josh.

The Requisite

11-11-11 - The band is going to finally do some recording as a full band! One Shot Studios/Dylan Fant has been so generous as to record a single for us for free! Hopefully a music video will coincide with the new track as well. We go in the 22nd and the 23rd of November, so hopefully we'll have everything ready for you guys by the new year! Stay tuned, more awesomeness on the horizon!
